Sarah Wes Studio is operated by Sarah Wes LLC ("Sarah Wes Studio," "we," "us" or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use our membership website, mobile and TV apps and related services (the "Services"), how we use and protect it, and the choices and rights you have.
We take your privacy seriously. We do not sell your personal information, and we only share it as described below.
If you have any questions, please contact us at hello@sarahwes.com.
1. Who Is Responsible for Your Information
Sarah Wes LLC is responsible for the personal information collected through the Services. Our membership platform is provided by Uscreen, which hosts the Services and processes information on our behalf.
2. Information We Collect
Information you give us. When you create an account, make a purchase, join our email list or contact us, we may collect:
- your name and email address;
- your account login details;
- billing information, such as your billing name, country, state or region and postal code;
- anything you choose to share with us, such as messages, comments or survey responses.
Payment information. Payments are handled by secure third-party payment processors (for example, Stripe or PayPal). We do not store your full card number. We only receive limited details, such as the card type, the last four digits and the expiry date, so we can manage your membership.
Information collected automatically. When you use the Services, we and our service providers may automatically collect technical and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, general location (such as country or city), pages visited, content watched or listened to, playlists, time and date of visits, and referring pages. Some of this is collected through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 6).
You can choose not to provide some information, but some parts of the Services, such as purchasing a membership, may not work without it.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- create and manage your account and membership;
- process payments, renewals, pauses, cancellations and refunds;
- provide the Services, including streaming, playlists and saving your progress;
- send you important service emails, such as receipts, password resets, billing notices and changes to our Terms or this policy;
- send you newsletters, new releases, free practices and offers, where you have agreed to receive them;
- respond to your messages and provide support;
- understand how the Services are used so we can improve them and create content you'll enjoy;
- keep the Services safe and secure, and prevent fraud or misuse;
- comply with our legal obligations, such as tax and accounting rules.
Legal bases (for visitors in the European Union, the UK and similar regions). We process your information to perform our contract with you (providing your membership), with your consent (for example, marketing emails and non-essential cookies), for our legitimate interests (such as improving and securing the Services), and to comply with legal obligations.
4. Email Communications
Service emails. If you have an account or make a purchase, we will send you emails related to it, such as receipts, account and security notices, and updates to our Terms or this policy. These are part of providing the Services.
Marketing emails. We only send newsletters, new releases and offers if you have agreed to receive them, for example by ticking the box when you sign up or by joining our email list. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any marketing email or by contacting us. Unsubscribing from marketing emails will not stop important service emails about your account.
Forgotten your password? Click "Forgot password" on the sign-in page and we will email you a link to reset it.
5. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We only share it with:
- Service providers who help us run the Services, such as our membership platform (Uscreen), payment processors, email and customer support tools, hosting and analytics providers. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
- Professional advisers, such as accountants and lawyers, where needed.
- Authorities or others when required by law, or when needed to protect our rights, our members or the public.
- A new owner, if our business or its assets are sold, merged or transferred. If this happens, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, and this Privacy Policy will continue to apply to it.
6. Cookies and Analytics
We and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, process payments securely, and understand how the Services are used so we can improve them.
Where required by law, we will ask for your consent before using non-essential cookies. You can also manage or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block essential cookies, some parts of the Services, such as signing in, may not work properly.
7. Where Your Information Is Stored
We are based in the United States, and our service providers may store and process your information in the United States and other countries. These countries may have different data protection laws from where you live. When we transfer personal information from the European Union, the UK or similar regions, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses used by our service providers.
8. How Long We Keep Your Information
We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active and as long as needed to provide the Services. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable time, except where we need to keep certain records for legal, tax, accounting or security reasons (for example, records of purchases).
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted (SSL) connections. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You can help keep your account safe by choosing a strong, unique password, not sharing your login, and signing out on shared devices.
10. Your Rights and Choices
You can update your account details at any time by signing in and going to your account settings.
Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you and receive a copy of it;
- correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your personal information;
- object to or restrict certain uses of your information, including for marketing;
- receive your information in a portable format;
- withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent (this does not affect processing that took place before you withdrew it).
To make a request, email us at hello@sarahwes.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.
If you are in the European Union or the UK and are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
US state privacy rights. Residents of certain US states, such as California, may have additional rights, including the right to know what personal information we collect and to request its deletion. We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
11. Children's Privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Members under 18 may use the Services only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, please contact us at hello@sarahwes.com and we will delete it.
12. Links to Other Websites
The Services may contain links to other websites and services, such as YouTube, Instagram or our shop at sarahwes.com. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and change the "Last updated" date above. If the changes are significant, we will let you know by email or through the Services.
